The title of the article is “The Farmer’s Donkey”. It is about a donkey that got trapped inside of a well and a farmer felt it was hopeless and impossible to get it out. He decided to gather others and bury the donkey alive. The donkey initially gave up hope but he changed his mind and stepped up with every pile of dirt that everyone threw at him. This relates to the current chapter activities because it shows that you should not doubt yourself even when the situation seems impossible.
I agree that you should never give up even when the situation seems impossible. I was in a situation where it seemed impossible to accomplish what I wanted to do. Last year was my first year of choir. I was in Lake Shore Singers which is the choir that people get dumped into that did not make Shorian Singers or Glee Club. I auditioned for Shorian Singers which is our school's most elite choir class and I royally messed up the dance that we had to do. I felt like giving up when I was learning it but instead I stayed and gave it my all and now I am in Shorian Singers.
This information will benefit me in the future by showing me that no matter what life throws at me to always shake it off and try again. I will keep my open-minded attitude and I will also keep my work ethic of giving my all to everything that I do. This article applies to the workplace because there is always going to be someone who wants to bring me down. This happens with anything. I learned to shrug it off and keep forging ahead no matter what.
Perseverance: n. persistent determination [syn: doggedness, persistence,
persistency, tenacity, tenaciousness, pertinacity]
Resourcefulness: n. the quality of being able to cope with a difficult
situation: "a man of great resourcefulness"
